Day 1: getting started

Congratulations! You are about to start the health journey of a lifetime. For the next 5 days, you will be enjoying the benefits of our exclusive Fasting Mimicking Diet® (FMD®). You are not alone on this journey! We will be giving you tips that will help you through these next few days.
Our most common question is, “Can I have coffee?” Yes, you may have 1 cup of coffee each day without any sweeteners or creamers added to it.

Expectations Day 1: Most people feel good and don’t really miss their normal food on Day 1. Be sure to enjoy the great tasting bars for breakfast and a snack. Follow the soup instructions, as there are 2 types of soups that get prepared differently (see Helpful Hint below). And one of the most important things to do throughout your fast is to drink plenty of water. Staying hydrated is key throughout the FMD meal program.

Helpful Hint: Each day you will enjoy a soup for lunch and dinner. The lunch soups are microwavable and preparation time is about 3 minutes. Be sure to stir the soup contents after the first 2 minutes. The dinner soups are stove-top preparations (do not microwave) and require at least 12-15 minutes to prepare. Be sure to stir constantly during the process of heating to prevent burning and bring out the flavors for maximum enjoyment.

Day 2: you can do it!

Expectations Day 2: Fatigue is normal as your body is starting its transformation. Remember to not overexert yourself today. Give yourself the opportunity to adjust to this new meal plan.

Helpful Hint: We suggest using the ProLon® tea we provided for a refreshing way to add some flavor to your day. If you use it all or would like to drink your own, be sure to use NON-CAFFEINATED teas only, with no additives or sugars (natural or artificial).

Today and every day hereafter you will be enjoying the L-Drink. This is very important to help you remain hydrated and to potentially overcome fatigue. Please read the instructions carefully and remember to only use the amount of L-Drink that corresponds to your weight as shown on the bottle. Throw away the rest of the concentrate.

Day 3: Half way there

Expectations Day 3: Congratulations! You are almost halfway to seeing a better you. Your determination and motivation have gotten you this far. Keep going! Some people find Day 3 to be challenging. This is your body signaling to you a reset to healthier levels.

Helpful Hint: Hydrate with plenty of water which will help fight hunger cravings and do not forget to utilize the L-Drink throughout the day. Avoid vigorous activity and strenuous work for this day. Remember, each “day box” has been specifically designed for each day of the meal plan. Refrain from interchanging products from different days.

Although you can take these components at any time during the day, we suggest that you follow the order and timing on the card provided with your fast. This may help to reduce feelings of hunger throughout the day.

If you feel very hungry, you can have a slice or 2 of a fresh cucumber, celery, bell pepper, or apple. But remember, it is just a slice… not the whole thing.

Day 4 On your way to better health

Expectations Day 4: Most people report feeling more energized, better focus and less fatigue on Day 4. With the continued body transformation from ProLon®, you may feel less hungry on this day and maybe even tempted to do intense exercise.

Helpful Hint: Instead of doing anything strenuous today, take this opportunity to use your newfound energy to rejuvenate your body from within. Do some meditation, stretch or go for a walk.

Day 5: You’re at the finish line

Expectations Day 5: You’ve worked hard all week. This the final stretch and you can see the light at the end of the tunnel! Most people report a continued spike in energy from the previous day and a clearer thought process. Hunger ranges from some people having no appetite while others report hunger pains. But remember, this is it! Your last day! Stay strong and stick to the plan to deliver the maximum benefits to your body.

Helpful Hint: Be sure to take your Algal oil as a source of omega-3 fatty acid after your meal. Keep yourself hydrated and feeling satiated with the herbal teas and the L-Drink throughout the day.

Day 6: Transition day

Congratulations! You have finished! You should be very proud of your accomplishment. You have given your body the gift of rejuvenation.

Today is an important transition day back to your everyday eating. Slowly reintroduce small, light meals and avoid overeating. Resume a healthy meal plan gradually, starting with liquids like juices and soups while avoiding high-fat, fried foods.

We suggest an easy-to-digest dinner, like a small serving of fish and rice.

Exciting News: Many people have reported that after completing the ProLon® meal plan, it becomes easier to control their portions and to eat smaller meals. People also become more cautious about their eating habits, have less sugar cravings, and try to choose healthier food options.
